Instructions:
Prepare the meat sauce: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and cook until softened. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer the sauce for about 15-20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
Cook the lasagna noodles: Follow the instructions on the package to cook the lasagna noodles until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the cheese layer: In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.
