2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

instructions:

1. Prepare the pizza dough:

In a large bowl, combine warm water, yeast and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.

Add olive oil, flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until it forms a dough.

Knead on a lightly floured surface until the dough is soft and elastic, about 5-7 minutes.

Place the dough in oil, cover with a damp towel, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1-2 hours.

2. To make pizza sauce:

Heat olive oil in a pan on medium heat.

Add minced garlic and sauce until fragrant.

Stir in the crushed tomatoes and dried oregano. Season with salt and pepper.

Simmer for 15-20 minutes until the sauce thickens. Adjust seasoning accordingly.

3. Making pizza:

Preheat your oven to the highest setting (usually 500°F or 260°C).

Pour over the dough and cut into two pieces for two pizzas.

On top, roll each piece of dough into a round circle (about 12 inches in diameter).

Transfer the dough to a pizza pan or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

4. Assemble the pizza:

Spread a generous amount of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.

Arrange whatever you like on top of the cheese.

5. Bake pizza:

Carefully transfer the prepared pizza to the preheated oven.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.

6. Service:

Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Cut wedges and serve hot.
